Andrej Oberreich - our youngest team rider joined a Regatta Foil Training with Dennis Müller

Dennis Müller, a German Windsurf Professional takes care of junior Windfoilers. He initiated a training event - RTG Nachwuchs Regatta Foil Training - at Lake Garda in June.

Question:

Hey Andrej, nice that you are also here in Torbole. Please introduce yourself briefly.

Andrej:

I am Andrej Oberreich, I have the sail number 575 and I am with the surf club Mainz. I have been racing for 2 years now. My sponsor is Surfbent and my Surfbent protected me quite a bit yesterday. I had a lot of crashes because I am just starting to foil. I am 12 years old and it is a lot of fun to foil.

Question:

Mega. Cool. Hey that's great. I accompanied you yesterday a lot. We were foiling parallel, pretty close to each other and you have already done really great. So it's obvious that you're not afraid and that you're already in control. Yesterday the wind was quite strong and you now have your 5.8 sail here. Today the wind is relatively strong again. Will you take your 5.0 sail to start now? And if the wind gets reduces later, we can try the whole thing again with the 5.8?

Andrej:

Yes!
