We proudly present - Lisa Kloster - our new team rider

We are very happy that Lisa Kloster, a very successful female Windsurfer from Germany is now joining our group of Surfbent team riders! To get to know her a little better we asked her a few questions.

How did you get into windsurfing?

Lisa:
My Dad is a windsurfer, so he taught me when I was a child. At the beginning I only windsurfed during my summer holidays, but when I started to plain and saw the freestyle windsurfer I got hooked on this sport. I wanted to go windsurfing everyday and begged my dad to drive me to holland on the weekends.

You are Germany's most successful female freestyler. And you study at the same time. How do you manage all that?

Lisa:
I am studying Geography at the University of Kiel. The biggest advantage for me was, that my studies changed to online studies due to the pandemic. That made my studies way more flexible and my life a lot easier. For example, I could train in Tarifa over the winter months and go on the water every day. Depending on the wind I studied in the evening, morning or in between sessions. The time on the water took my stress away and learning was also more efficient.

At the moment you are in Fuerteventura. What is your next destination?

Lisa:
Originally, I came to Fuerte to participate in the PWA worldcup. It’s a pity that it got cancelled last minute. Now I use the time for some more training, as I want to compete in all FPT Tourstops as well this year. The next destination will be Theologos in Greece.

What are your first experiences with the Surfbent?

Lisa:
The Surfbent is easy to handle and keeps my nose free from cracks of my mast in strong wind sessions. As it's not bothering while sailing at all, it's good to have the positive aspects of longer lasting board noses.
